When turned on, playback is less smooth and sub-hd, even when best quality is selected." I'm 15, and on the 2019 Christmas, I was gifted an Insignia FireTV. A few months ago, I started a Prime trial. After it ended, I tried starting a Prime Channel on the TV (Not on the Prime Video app), HBO or something, and it pulled up the screen saying "hey you need Prime to start this". I clicked start Prime subscription, and it went through. I am observing that the Amazon prime video does not go beyond HD quality while watching on my laptop. Even though I have selected Best streaming quality on prime, it still streams in HD quality only.
